WakeMed North Hospital sits at 10000 Falls of Neuse Road in north Raleigh, about a 15-minute drive from downtown Wake Forest via Falls of Neuse Road south — and that’s your fastest, most reliable route to the hospital at any time of day. Capital Boulevard (US-1) runs straight south from Wake Forest into Raleigh and is the other main artery, but it’s one of the most congested corridors in Wake County during rush hour, with the stretch between I-540 and I-440 turning into a parking lot on weekday mornings and afternoons; if you’re heading to UNC REX or WakeMed Raleigh via Capital, add 15–20 minutes during peak times. I-540 (the Triangle Expressway loop) crosses the east side of Wake Forest and connects to I-40 and the Research Triangle Park area, but the toll road won’t get you to any birthing hospital faster than Falls of Neuse or Capital. For third-trimester walks, the Wake Forest Reservoir Park trail and the greenway along E.
