25 Weeks Pregnant: Filling out

Baby development

Your baby at 25 weeks

Your baby's skin is still thin, but the body is gradually filling out more. The nervous system is maturing too, which helps movements become stronger and more purposeful.

Your body this week

What you might be feeling at 25 weeks

Your baby is active and you're feeling it. You might notice stronger kicks, back pain, and difficulty sleeping. This is a good time to start paying attention to movement patterns. If you haven't felt movement in a while, drink something cold and lie on your side.

From Shelbi

Your baby is getting active, and you're probably feeling it. I had one baby who was so still I worried constantly, and another who moved so much I was convinced something was wrong. Both were perfectly fine. This is the week where a lot of moms start really paying attention to movement patterns. If you haven't felt movement in a while, drink something cold and lie on your side — that usually gets things going. But never hesitate to call your provider if something feels off. I tell all my doula clients: you are never wasting anyone's time by checking.
