What True Joy Birthing is

True Joy Birthing is an app and website that helps moms, doulas, and midwives stay organized and connected around pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Moms use it to create birth plans and track visits; doulas and midwives use it to keep client timelines, notes, contracts, and invoices in one place.

What we collect

You choose what to share. When you use True Joy Birthing, we may collect:

Basic account details like your name, email, password, and whether you are a Mom, Doula, or Midwife.
Profile information for doulas and midwives, such as photo, city, experience, and specialties.
Client and care information you add, like due dates, appointments and visits, birth preferences, notes, and birth details.
Business details for professionals, like contracts and invoices linked to specific clients.
Technical data about how you use the app (for example, which screens you visit) so we can keep improving things.

We also use tools like Google Analytics, Brevo (for email), and payment processors (Apple, Google, Stripe) to help us run the service. These partners have their own privacy practices and only use your data to do their job for us.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account.
Let moms, doulas, and midwives see what they need to see about their shared clients, like appointments, visits, and plans.
Send important service messages, plus educational and marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.
Understand how people use the app so we can make it better.
Keep the app secure and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Payments and subscriptions

Moms can use the app for free. Doulas and midwives can subscribe to Pro tools. In the apps, those subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google. On the website, certain paid offerings may use Stripe. We don’t see or store your full card details; our payment partners handle that securely and just tell us what we need to know to turn your features on.

Who our app is for

True Joy Birthing is designed for adults in the United States. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and shared information, please contact us so we can remove it.

How long we keep things

We keep your information while your account is active and as long as we need it to provide the service and meet legal requirements. If you decide you’re done with True Joy Birthing, you can ask us to delete your account and we will remove or anonymize your data, except for anything we must keep for legal or tax reasons.

Your choices

You can:

Update parts of your profile in the app.
Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
Ask us what data we have about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it where possible.
